TECH PACKS
Every Nicky Cook pattern, graded set or block is accompanied by a Tech Pack.
Each tech pack is a comprehensive instruction manual used to communicate all information relevant to the accurate production of a garment design, providing a bridge between the designer's creative vision and the actual production of a garment.

Information contained within a tech pack includes:

-
Detailed Sketch of the Garment: This sketch provides a visual representation of what the finished garment should look like. It includes front and back views, as well as any necessary close-up views of specific design details.
-
Fabrics and Colourways: Information about the type of fabrics to be used, including information such as material composition, weight, and texture, including colourways with swatches.
-
Garment Measurements: Precise measurements for various parts of the garment, such as bust, waist, hips, sleeve length, inseam, etc. These measurements ensure that the garment fits correctly.
-
Pattern Information and Seam Allowances: Details about the pattern to be used for cutting the fabric, including the size, placement, and direction of pattern pieces. It also specifies the seam allowances to be used during sewing.
-
Construction Instructions: Step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the garment. This includes details about stitching techniques, sewing machine settings, and any specific construction methods unique to the design.
-
Size Spec Sheet: A chart that outlines the measurements for each size the garment will be produced in. This helps ensure consistency in sizing across different garments.
-
Grading Spec: Information on how the garment will be graded, which involves scaling the pattern to create different sizes. This is essential for producing a range of sizes for a collection.
-
Additional Information: Any other relevant information, such as details about trimmings (buttons, zippers, etc.), special stitching techniques (embroidery, appliqué, etc.), or labels that need to be included in the garment.
